Roughton Nickelson De Luca (RND) Architects announces the American Institute of Architects Triangle Chapter has named it the AIA Triangle 2011 Firm of the Year. The award was presented to the four partners of the firm at the AIA Triangle's Annual Meeting on September 7. This award recognizes the firm's outstanding dedication and commitment to advancing the goals of AIA Triangle.

“We are excited and honored to be recognized by AIA Triangle,” said Founder and President Lucien Roughton. “This award represents the commitment RND has made to supporting the Chapter and promoting architecture and design excellence.”

RND has been a long-time supporter of the AIA Triangle, volunteering the time and talents of the partners and employees since 1987. Members of the firm have served in various positions on the Board and in committees including partners Lucien Roughton, Charles Nickelson, and Gustavo De Luca. Currently, architect Sheela Prabhu is serving as Director. RND is also an enthusiastic supporter of the AIA Triangle’s Tour of Residential Architecture with the goal of educating the public on the value of working with an architect.
