Durham City Hall Shared Development Review Renovation
This project was an architectural response to a number of organization flaws within the Durham City Hall administrative departments. The existing check-in process was inefficient. There was a disparity between the layout of the departments and the way in which information flowed between them. In need of a solution, the City hired our team to re-program its departments and create a more efficient and flexible work space.
A number of programming and space needs assessments were conducted to understand the unique needs of each department. Utilizing this information, our team designed new layouts which increase communication between departments and their clients. This work involved wall demolition and construction and comprehensive new interior finish and furniture upgrades.
