ABOUT RND ARCHITECTS
We’re a team of architects and designers serving clients throughout North Carolina.
RND Architects, PA is a small firm that was founded in Durham, NC in 1987 and is home to a mix of thoughtful and talented individuals who enjoy solving complex challenges associated with renovation and adaptive reuse in healthcare, higher education, and public projects. We are an employee-friendly firm with a commitment to diversity and a healthy work-life balance. We share ideas and promote creativity. We learn new things every day and celebrate each other’s individual unique knowledge and talents.
At RND Architects, we are excited by the potentials of renovation and adaptive re-use design. We have specialized in this project type for over three decades and our designers understand the unique challenges and opportunities associated with this approach. As the AIA’s call for architects to consider each design as “urgent” toward contributing less to human-caused climate change, we believe that building re-use is one of the most sustainable and strategic opportunities available to the architectural community.
As a firm, we are committed to sustainability, both in our design approach and in the way we run our practice. We aim to reduce the environmental impact of our projects through responsible design choices, energy-efficient systems, and the use of sustainable materials.
