This project upfit an existing high bay flex warehouse shell building for UNC Health’s Central Fill Pharmacy.  UNC occupies 45,312 s.f. space in the 60,000 s.f. building and the upfit accommodates their Specialty Pharmacy and the Investigational Drug Services Pharmacy staff consolidating these groups from an offsite location and a location within the hospital.  Their new home has ample shipping & receiving areas with loading docks, a cleanroom for hazardous drug preparation, and staff operational areas including a conveyor autofill system that greatly improves efficiency. Our design provides for shared common spaces which include the main entrance lobby, breakroom, conference rooms, and lactation suites. The building has 14,000 s.f. of shell space remaining to accommodate further expansion of these services at this facility.
